Eagles CB Ronald Darby Says He Was In Uber With Jameis Winston & Calls BS On Sexual Assault Claim
Last week, it was reported that Jameis Winston was being accused of yet another sexual assault claim, just as he was back in college. This time, it was an Uber driver who had a story to tell.
That Uber driver said Winston was the only passenger in the vehicle and that he sat in the front passenger seat. She alleges that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB took his hand and grabbed her crotch for a few seconds before she removed it.
Philadelphia Eagles corner Ronald Darby is now calling BS on the entire story. He claims that he and one other person were in the Uber with Jameis Winston on the night in question.
“I felt the need to come forward and clarify some inaccurate accounts of the evening of March 13, 2016 when myself, a friend and Jameis Winston took an Uber ride in Arizona. There were three of us in the car, not just one as has been reported. Myself and Jameis were in the backseat. I am confident that nothing inappropriate in nature happened in the car that evening and Jameis did not have any physical contact with the Uber driver. The accusations are are just not true.”
On Friday, the NFL’s lead investigator sent a letter to the accuser, stating they would be looking into the claim, which Winston has since denied in a statement.
