Stephen Jackson Says Chandler Parsons Should’ve Been Fired Instead of HC David Fizdale; Parsons Responds (VIDEO)
On Monday, the Memphis Grizzlies fired coach David Fizdale after the team lost its seventh game in a row, dropping their record to 7-12. The decision had many bamboozled as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Vince Carter and many others took to social media to question the Grizzlies decision to part ways with Fizdale.
One of the most vocal people to speak out on the controversial firing was former NBA player Stephen Jackson, who took to Instagram and posted that Parsons, who received a ridiculous contract from the team, should’ve been fired from the Grizzlies instead.
He then released a video on the situation:
Bad front office bad team. Point blank. If u never played in the NBA or worked in the a front office keep your opinion to yourself. They did Fiz wrong. How long John Paxson been in Chicago? I’ll wait. Have they won anything? I’ll wait on that answer to. #GBG Truth Hurts. Start signing players that care about the game and the fans. Not guys who just interested in the game. Gotta Love it. Memphis Grizzlies star Chandler Parsons eventually saw the original post and responded, which prompted Jackson to respond back to him and post it for all to see:
This is not a beef. I have passion for the game and I Love this game. I hate to see it not appreciated. I hate to see a good coach get fired bkuz he cares more than the players. Facts. All basketball players ain’t kool I can count my NBA Real brothers on my hands. Facts. Not a yes man. #GBG it ain’t just him. It a lot that don’t care. Respect it or check it. Love to all. Get healthy though @chandlerparsons.
He then released one last video on the entire situation:
All I got is my balls and my word. I’m holding mine. Love to all. #GBG A post shared by Stephen Jackson (@_stak5_) on
