Navy Unveils Blue Angel-Inspired Uniforms for Army-Navy Game And They’re DOPE! (VIDEO + PICS)
This year will mark the 118th meeting between the football teams representing the United States Naval Academy and the United States Military Academy. In recent years both the Army Black Knights and Navy Midshipmen have taken to celebrating this awesome college football tradition with custom alternate uniforms, and the results have been very impressive. This year will be no different.
On Monday Navy unveiled the uniforms they’ll wear against Army on December 9. Designed by Under Armour, the navy blue and gold uniforms pay tribute to the world-famous Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron. They feature Blue Angels racing stripes on the shoulders, the Blue Angels insignia on the right sleeve, and helmets that look identical to those worn by Blue Angels pilots.

In case you’re wondering, last year Army broke a 14-year losing streak, upsetting Navy by the score of 21-17 while wearing some incredible uniforms honoring WWII’s 82nd Airborn Division. However, this year Army is 8-3, while Navy is just 6-5. So if there’s another upset, it will have to come from Navy.
