Tony Reali Sends Kind Message to Colleagues After Latest ESPN Layoffs (VIDEO)
Earlier this week, word came down from Bristol that ESPN would be laying off another round of employees in their efforts to cut costs amid falling viewership and revenues. Approximately 150 people in various departments were shown the door, and Around the Horn host Tony Reali sent a video tribute to those who lost their jobs this week.
The clip aired at the end of Wednesday’s program, but has since made the rounds on Twitter as well.
Here it is.
Really nice tribute by @TonyReali and team to beloved producer David Brofsky. Maximum respect and admiration to David, a great friend and mentor to so many over a stellar 27-year run. pic.twitter.com/KkqBntsIRI

Obviously, these employees are hurting from the news and were valued by many at the company, but very few at ESPN have the clout or platform to pay such a tribute. So it’s nice to see that Tony was willing to spend the time and effort to let them know they’re valued and missed.
