Geno Smith Rips ‘Coward’ Rex Ryan For Saying He Didn’t Want Him as a QB: “I Saved His Job in 2013”
For the first time since 2003, the New York Giants had another quarterback start besides Eli Manning, but the result was no different than the majority of their games this season.
Geno Smith had a solid game, throwing for 212 yards and one touchdown, but the Giants still fell to the Oakland Raiders, 24-17.
After the game, Geno was flipping mad about a comment from his former coach Rex Ryan. The Giants quarterback ripped into the unemployed coach following the game, calling him a ‘coward’ for his comments:
Geno Smith ripped Rex Ryan: “I did see one of my ex-coaches say he didn’t want me to be his quarterback. That really upset me. I saved his job in 2013. We fought our ass for him both years. For him to say that shows how much of a coward he is.”

Here is what Rex Ryan said before the game today:
Rex Ryan: “I love Geno Smith. Great guy. I just don’t want him playing quarterback for me.”
