JuJu Smith-Schuster Apologizes For Hit On Vontaze Burfict; Antonio Brown Calls It ‘Karma’ (VIDEO)
Last night might’ve been the most violent Monday Night Football game in recent memory and it added to the rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals as two players had to be removed from the field via stretcher
Following his vicious hit and staredown on Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict, Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster apologized after the game for what he did.
“I didn’t know it was Burfict at first. All I saw was the first Bengal was going to tackle . . . and my instinct is I gotta block for my teammate,” Smith-Schuster said. “And me just playing ball, I hit him. After I seen the replay I think I should’ve held back a little bit more from blocking him. Also, I believe that that’s not me. I should’ve never stood over him. I apologize for that and with that being said, I hope he gets better.”
He later took to Twitter and delivered another apology for taunting Burfict as he lay motionless on the field.
I don’t have any intentions to hurt anyone when I play football. I didn’t mean to hurt Vontez Burfict, I just wanted to throw a block for my teammate. I apologize for standing over him and that isn’t me. Praying he gets better.

At least one of his teammates saw absolutely nothing wrong with it. That teammate was Steelers WR Antonio Brown, who also took a huge hit on this night but it ended up as a touchdown.
