Watch Al Pacino Play Joe Paterno In First Trailer For ‘Paterno’ (VIDEO)

I was pretty mad at HBO when they said they wouldn’t be giving us any ‘Game of Thrones’ in 2018, but I think I’m finally ready to let go of that grudge after seeing the trailer for the network’s upcoming film, ‘Paterno.’

Starring Al Pacino as Joe Paterno, the HBO film is expected to give us a dramatic look into the life of the former Penn State head football coach.

After being awarded the head coaching position for the Nittany Lions, Paterno quickly became a legend at the school, leading them to two national championships and five undefeated seasons over the next four-and-a-half decades. But in 2011, he was forced to retire because of his involvement in the Jerry Sandusky scandal, along with his deteriorating health.  Just a few months later, he was hospitalized due to complications with his cancer treatment and passed away shortly after.

HBO has finally released its first trailer for ‘Paterno,’ which is said to be coming out this spring. Have a look:
