Patriots Player ‘Likes’ Instagram Post Blasting Belichick For Benching Malcolm Butler (PIC)
Malcolm Butler was a key part of the Patriots defense all season long, starting all but one game. But come Super Bowl time, he was unceremoniously benched for the game with Eric Rowe taking his place.
All Bill Belichick would say about the move is that it was a “football decision,” which doesn’t exactly clear things up.
Well, a former Patriot in CB Brandon Browner went off on the decision on Instagram, as you can see below:
A former player can speak fairly freely, but following the team’s loss, an active and prominent Patriots member, Dont’a Hightower, went ahead and “liked” the post, no doubt still reeling and fuming from the team’s loss.
Two other former players under Belichick went ahead and gave their thumbs-up on the sentiment as well.

It’s hardly treasonous, but you don’t see this much in Belichick’s locker room. Maybe his iron fist over the team is slipping just a bit amid all this turmoil?
