REPORT: Roger Goodell’s Wife Added To Deposition List For Colin Kaepernick’s Collusion Case
Back in October, when it was clear that no team was going to call for Colin Kaepernick’s services, the controversial free agent decided to be proactive and filed a grievance against NFL owners, accusing them of colluding to keep him out of the league.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Texans owner Bob McNair, among others, were deposed and asked to turn over all cell phone records and emails in relation to the Colin Kaepernick collusion case against the NFL.
Months later and the free agent QB and his lawyers are adding more names to that list, which includes commissioner Roger Goodell’s wife, Jane Goodell, sources told Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.
“Sources with knowledge of the legal wrangling in the grievance told Yahoo Sports that Goodell’s wife was added to a list of deposition requests this week. The addition comes following a sweep of text messages, emails and telephone records by Kaepernick’s legal team over the last two months. Roger Goodell and several league executives were among those asked to turn records over, as well as a handful of NFL team personnel and coaches.”
The NFL declined to comment on Kaepernick’s grievance on Tuesday.
