For most of the world, Kim Jong Un is something of a punchline. The dictator is famously incompetent, headstrong, and, well, funny looking. But for the North Korean athletes attending the games, they can’t exactly get away with mocking the likeness of Dear Leader without likely facing some very real consequences when they cross the border and return home.

The appearance was made at a women’s Olympic hockey game featuring teams from Korea (North and South) and Japan. He walked in front of the Korean cheering section before police cornered him and whisked him away.
Oh, well. For what it’s worth, there are billions of people out there who think this type of stunt is hilarious. Adding to the comedy is his refrain to police after being detained.
According to ESPN, he said simply, “This is how I look.”
