Russell Wilson Impressed Yankees’ Teammates By Blasting 6 HRs in Batting Practice (VIDEO)
It was almost three weeks ago when the New York Yankees acquired Russell Wilson from the Texas Rangers for future considerations to fulfill Wilson’s dream of being a part of the Yankees organization.
The Seattle Seahawks QB finally made his appearance in pinstripes during the Yankees’ spring training camp, and he wasted no time making an impression.
Wilson showed off his power during batting practice with six home runs during the session. He actually out-homered Gary Sanchez on the day, 6-5.

“(Baseball) is what I’ve known my whole life,” Wilson told reporters after Monday’s practice. “Now, I couldn’t just step on a basketball court. I wouldn’t be good at basketball, but baseball, it’s like riding a bike once you get back out there for me. It’s not an easy sport, though. It’s very, very difficult.”
Wilson plans on being on the bench during some of their Grapefruit League games, but don’t get too excited about it. Manager Aaron Boone has already shut the door on him actually playing in a game, something I’m sure the Seahawks organization appreciates greatly.
