Jermall Charlo Involved In Fight At 40/40 Club; Gets Robbed of $150K in Cash, Jewelry By Group of Women (VIDEO)
Just know that if you’re a recognizable face with a lot of money, you will always have a target on your back.
Pro boxer Jermall Charlo found that out the hard way after the Wilder-Ortiz fight.
NY Daily News has the details:
“Pro boxer Jermall Charlo lost more than $150,000 in cash and valuables when a group of women swiped his bag at JAY-Z’s nightclub in the Flatiron District, police sources said Sunday.
Charlo, 27, spent Saturday night at the Barclays Center, then went to the 40/40 Club on W. 25th St. near Broadway in Manhattan with a group of friends, sources said.
The middleweight pugilist got involved in a fight at the club at about 3 a.m. Sunday. During the commotion, one of the boxer’s buddies left a Louis Vuitton bag unattended on a table, sources said.
When Charlo returned to his seat, the bag and its contents — $40,000 in cash and $115,000 in jewelry — had vanished.”
Charlo, who is unbeaten in 26 matches, was likely targeted from the moment he stepped foot in the club. The fight was probably a distraction to get everybody’s attention elsewhere and make the robbery that much easier. How to finesse 101.
