BREAKING: Packers Expected To Release WR Jordy Nelson

Jordy Nelson knee injury

After picking up an elite pass-catcher in Jimmy Graham, it appears as though Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson suddenly became expendable.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Packers are expected to release the former Pro Bowl receiver.

Nelson had a disappointing 2017 campaign, recording just 53 receptions for 482 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games. Prior to that he was Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target, going for over 1,200 receiving yards on four occasions and posting over 13 touchdowns three times. He’ll turn 33-years-old in May.
