A few seasons back, the NFL tried to spice up Thursday Night Football by adding color rush uniforms for every team in the league. It was a colossal failure as almost nobody liked them and everyone wanted to do away with them as soon as they were released.
Those uniforms will no longer be a headache and an eye sore for players and fans, as the color rush uniforms are coming to an end on “Thursday Night Football,” according to Bill Wanger, executive vice president of programming, research and content strategy for Fox Sports.

FOX Sports recently acquired the rights to “Thursday Night Football” through 2022 for $3.3 billion. They are already making good moves to appease the viewers.
