Yankee Stadium Continues To Boo Struggling Giancarlo Stanton, Hitting Just .086 At Home (VIDEO)
Not every star is built to handle the pressure that comes with playing for the New York Yankees. Giancarlo Stanton is finding that out the hard way.
Stanton was boo’d during his very first home game with the team and it has become a regular occurrence at Yankee stadium ever since. It happened once again on Tuesday night after he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, an infield popup, and grounded into a double play against the Miami Marlins.
He was boo’d after every at-bat.

Following the 9-1 loss to the Miami Marlins, Stanton was asked about the home fans booing him:
Stanton on how he blocks out the boos: “worry about the positive things, even if it’s not very many things. That’s all you can do.”
What are the positives? “It’s early. Not too many but u have to own up to it & understand & find a way to get better, find a way to get out of it.”

Stanton has now struck out in 20 of his 35 at-bats at home, and is hitting .086/.179/.171 with one home run and three RBIs at Yankee Stadium this season. Luckily for Stanton, the next eight games will be played away from Yankee stadium, so he’ll have time to get boo’d by opposing fan bases this time.
