Former Michigan Wolverines linebacker Elysee Mbem-Bosse went on a bizarre Twitter rant on Monday night. In the course of that rant, he appeared to threaten violence toward coach Jim Harbaugh.

It’s unclear what, exactly, Mbem-Bosse was ranting about. He mentions being suspended by the team for taking care of his family, and suggests the team sent someone to his apartment, which prompted him to call the police.

As for the threats, Mbem-Bosse says at various points, “let’s not have a murder case on your hands,” “Michigan is open carry,” and “next time I’m calling the morgue.” He also says “f–k you” and “you f–king clown,” apparently in reference to Jim Harbaugh.

Take a look:

Elysee Mbem-Bosse deleted these tweets shortly after publishing them. However, somebody at Reddit CFB managed to get screenshots.

In an email to Deadspin, the team said Elysee Mbem-Bosse “left the football program in mid-November.” Unfortunately that is the only thing they have said about the situation at this point. However, the University of Michigan Police Department told that it has launched an investigation into the threats against Harbaugh.

It certainly sounds like Mbem-Bosse is a troubled individual. Hopefully the investigation will end with him getting some help before he does anything he can’t undo.
