Browns Coach Hue Jackson Making Good On Promise To Jump Into Lake (VIDEO)
After the Cleveland Browns went 1-15 in 2016, head coach Hue Jackson said he would jump into Lake Erie if they went 1-15 again in 2017.
It wasn’t that bold of a declaration. Jackson didn’t say the Browns would actually be good. He just said they wouldn’t go 1-15. But of course, as you know, the Browns did not go 1-15 in 2017. They went 0-16.
If we’re going to be technical about it, Jackson shouldn’t have to jump into Lake Erie since they didn’t go 1-15. However, the spirit of the promise was obviously that the Browns would get better in 2017, not worse. And now Jackson says he’ll make good on the spirit of his promise.
On Monday Jackson announced that he’s going to jump into Lake Erie on June 1, and for every member of the Browns organization that jumps with him he’ll donate $100 to the fight to end human trafficking in northeast Ohio.
Hue Jackson will make good on his word. 🏊♂️

Of course, Jackson never said when he’d jump into the lake. But I’m pretty sure most people assumed he meant January, not June. If you ask me, that’s cheating.
But hey, at least he’s doing it for a good cause.
