Dez Bryant is Signing With The Green Bay Packers Says Jason Witten
Dez Bryant’s most infamous catch in his entire career was actually a non-catch in Green Bay that has been argued for years now. Now, a former Dallas Cowboys player believes he’ll have many more chances to catch some balls at Lambeau.
Recently retired Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten was on Adam Schefter’s podcast when he revealed which team his former teammate would sign with during the offseason.
“I think he’s going to end up going to the Green Bay Packers,” Witten said, via the Star-Telegram. “I think that’s a great spot for him. Aaron Rodgers, he throws that back-shoulder throw so well, and Dez [can have] great chemistry with a good quarterback that can put the ball wherever he wants.”
The Packers have already made huge changes in the offseason so far, with the departure of fan favorite Jordy Nelson and the addition of Jimmy Graham. Witten believes Dez would fit right into the Packers system and flourish.
“I still think Dez can still high-point the football as good as any other wide receiver in the National Football League,” Witten said. “You partner him up with Jimmy Graham and Aaron Rodgers, and I think that offense can put up a lot of points. . . . I think it’s a win-win for the Packers.”
Playing with a future hall of famer in Aaron Rodgers can turn any WR’s career around. Unfortunately for Bryant, the only interest that has come his way since being cut from the Cowboys has been from the Ravens—who offered him a contract, but he turned it down.
