REPORT: Lakers Willing To Trade Lonzo Ball For The Right Price
This is not going to make the CEO of Big Baller Brand happy.
After selecting Lonzo Ball with the #2 overall draft pick in the 2017 Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers were hoping to be blown away by Lonzo’s talent during his rookie campaign. He wasn’t terrible, but he wasn’t a superstar-type talent that could change the fortune of a franchise that has missed the playoffs for five straight seasons.
According to the LA Times, no one on the current roster is untouchable when it comes to trade talks, and that includes Lonzo Ball.
“While they like their young core and would prefer to keep those players growing together, they have told teams no player is untouchable in trades, according to multiple sources who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of trade and free-agent negotiations.
To be clear, the Lakers are not actively shopping any of their players. They are willing to listen to offers and could move one of them — even a member of the talented young cadre of Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram or Josh Hart — if an offer blows them away.”
It should be noted that the Lakers are not actively shopping any of their young players, but they do want teams to know that they will listen to any offers and they will need to be blown away in order to part ways with any of them.
