Kevin Garnett’s Sister Arrested For Robbing Three Check Cashing Stores
Former NBA great Kevin Garnett’s younger sister is really into some deep trouble after police say she tried to rob three different check cashing stores in South Carolina. And that’s not even the most serious charge she’ll be facing.
Cops went on to state Ashley Danyelle Phelps not only tried to rob the places, but told employees she had a bomb on her. Someone managed to press a panic button and Phelps quickly fled the scene.
Here’s her mugshot:
TMZ has the rest of the details:
“The next day, cops say Phelps tried to hit another Check Into Cash store — but failed so she went to an Advance America shop instead and once again told employees she had a bomb.
Police responded and 37-year-old Phelps was captured a short time later.
She was formally charged with 2 counts of armed robbery, 2 counts of making a bomb threat and 1 count of attempted armed robbery.
She’s currently being held in Greenville County Detention Center after a judge denied her bond.”
As far as her relationship with her older and famous brother goes, there isn’t one. A family source told TMZ that they used to be really close, but had a really big falling out and are no longer on speaking terms.
