Alex Ovechkin Does Keg Stands, Goes For A Shirtless Swim In Georgetown Waterfront Fountain (VIDS)

Alex Ovechkin is on cloud nine right now and he doesn’t plan on coming down anytime soon.

It took a long 14 years for the NHL legend to accomplish his goal, but it was well worth the wait for him to hoist his first Stanley Cup on Thursday night after defeating the Vegas Golden Knights.

“This is even better (than I thought it would be),” said an emotional Ovechkin, who sat with the Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy as the postseason’s most valuable player at his side. “It’s just a dream. We’ve worked so hard. This means everything. I think we were waiting a long, long time for this moment.””

On Saturday, Ovechkin threw out the first pitch during the Nationals game with the Stanley Cup right there at his side.

Following the game, and with the help of some Nationals fans, he did some keg stands with the Stanley Cup.

Ove wasn’t nearly done on this day, as he was later spotted shirtless, taking a dive into Georgetown’s waterfront fountain.

Sounds like a great day for an absolute legend in his sport.
