Ex-MLB Pitcher Mat Latos Involved In Brawl In Independent League; Flying Clothesline Used (VIDEO)

Former Cincinnati Reds starter Mat Latos, who is currently trying to resurrect his career with the New Jersey Jackals in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, earned headlines this weekend for his involvement in a bench-clearing brawl.

Latos tossed a pitch over the head of a batter for the Rockland Boulders, who then started walking toward the mound with his bat in his hand. One of his teammates would run from the bench to attack Latos, only to get lifted off his feet and thrown to the ground. Then came a flying clothesline from one of Latos’s teammates, and suddenly all hell had broken loose.
