Landon Donovan Ripped By Former USMNT Players For Supporting Mexico (TWEETS)

There are a bunch of people right now who view Landon Donovan as a massive sell-out to his country!

The reason why is because the man with the second-most appearances in the history of the USMNT and the joint-leader for goals inexplicably decided to support U.S.A’s biggest soccer rival during the World Cup.

Born in Southern California and fluent in Spanish, Donovan’s decision to jump on the Mexico bandwagon was followed by a political statement aimed at Donald Trump, complete with the statement: “I don’t believe in walls, I want to go to Mexico, dress in green and win tournaments in Leon.”

Donavan’s decision to cheer on Mexico was not well received by former USMNT teammates, and that included a scathing comment by Herculez Gomez.

Donovan was quick to reply to his former teammate.

The following day, Donovan took to Twitter and attempted to explain his position and why he did what he did.
