Falcons “Uneasy” With Julio Jones Hanging Out With Terrell Owens As He Seeks New Contract
The Atlanta Falcons seem to be at a crossroads with their star wide receiver Julio Jones. Reports suggest that they are not in good standing with him as the team heads into training camp next month.
Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter appeared on ESPN 730AM The Game, where he was asked how Jones’ relationship with the franchise stood as they continue to talk about his contract situation.
“It’s in a bad place right now,” Ledbetter said, via Cory Woodroof of the Falcoholic. “Coach [Dan Quinn] was expecting him in here. He told us that at the owners meeting when I talked to him down there in Orlando, and then, a few weeks later, Julio informed that he’s not going to be here.”
Jones did not report to the team during their mandatory minicamp last week, as he continues to seek a new contract. He was with Owens instead:

Widely considered to be among the best wide receivers in the game, Jones’ average annual salary of $14.25 million ranks eighth among all wideouts.
