Daniel Cormier Says He’ll Only Fight Brock Lesnar If He’s Not On Steroids

The last time Brock Lesnar stepped inside an Octagon was 2016 to fight Mark Hunt, a bout that he won, but ultimately got him suspended for a year after testing positive for a banned substance. Six months into the ban, he retired….or so everybody thought.

Fresh off his defeat of Stipe Miocic to claim the UFC’s heavyweight title this past weekend, Daniel Cormier wasted no time calling out Brock Lesnar, who made his way to the ring to shove him and get the fans all riled up this past Saturday.

Cormier has no problem stepping into the Octagon to fight Lesnar, but there needs to be a huge stipulation.

“He needs to be clean. I’m not going to fight him if he isn’t clean. I’ve done that enough,” Cormier said Monday on “Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show.”

Cormier is referring to his fights with nemesis Jon Jones, who had his MMA license revoked by the California State Athletic Commission earlier this year after he tested positive for a steroid.
“We’re going to do our testing … through USADA, which is the gold standard … but also we want to see if there are any extra levels,” Cormier said.
