“Yes that’s a potential opponent; Amir Khan. There’s a lot of potential opponents there, like Lomachenko, there are so many fighters that have potential to be my opponent next.”
Manny Pacquiao Calls Out Floyd Mayweather For Rematch
This past weekend, Manny Pacquiao got his name trending once again in the boxing world after he took the Welterweight title belt against Lucas Matthysse.
After scoring his first knockout since 2009, he was already contemplating his next matchup, and it was against a familiar foe. The Pac Man is leaving the door open for a possible rematch against Floyd Mayweather, whom he lost to due to a unanimous decision three years ago in Las Vegas, according to ESPN 5.
“Mayweather? If he decides to go back to boxing then that is the time we are going to call the shots,” he told reporters after his victory. “I have the belt, so it’s up to him. If he wants to come back in boxing let’s do a second one.”
Mayweather is presumed to be retired after he clashed with UFC’s Conor McGregor and put his record at 50-0.
Even if he doesn’t get that match, he has plans to defend his title and one name that came up was Amir Khan.
