DeMar DeRozan Expresses Anger At Being Traded To Spurs on Instagram (VIDEO)
DeMar DeRozan was selected ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2009 draft, which is where he remained for his entire career until 2018.
On Wednesday, the Toronto Raptors effectively ended the tenure of the beloved player when they traded him to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Kawhi Leonard.
Demar embraced the city of Toronto when former stars abandoned it and pushed their way out of town, and even showed loyalty in 2016 when he didn’t meet with any teams during free agency and re-signed with the team. The Raptors were not loyal to DeRozan and his pain was felt in the early morning hours of Wednesday when he took to Instagram and posted a cryptic message about the trade.

“Be told one thing & the outcome another. Can’t trust em. Ain’t no loyalty in this game. Sell you out quick for a little bit of nothing… Soon you’ll understand… Don’t disturb…”
For the Spurs fans, it’s not the destination that upsets him, it’s the fact that he poured his whole heart out for the team, only to be traded for a guy who is likely to play one season there before he moves on.
