REPORT: Khalil Mack & Jon Gruden Haven’t Spoken Once Since The Head Coach Was Hired
When the Oakland Raiders lured Jon Gruden out of the booth and signed him to a record 10-year, $100 million contract, he likely had no clue he would be running into an obstacle almost immediately.
The Oakland Raiders coach said recently that the team is “going to find a way to get Khalil Mack back” after he skipped the offseason program as he looks for a new contract.
You would think the two would be in regular contact, but that is far from the truth. Since his hiring in January, Gruden and Mack have spoken a total of zero times as the season draws near.
Interesting fact of day: Jon Gruden and Oakland DE Khalil Mack have not spoken once since the Raiders hired their new head coach in January. No contact between two men who should be vital this season for the Raiders.

What isn’t known is if there have been any attempts on either side to reach out during this process, as there has been no indication that the two sides are any closer to an agreement.
Mack is set to continue his holdout as the team gets ready to start training camp on Thursday.
