Jerry Jones Responds To Dak Prescott’s Decision To Not Protest During Anthem (VIDEO)
A few weeks ago, Jerry Jones and his son, Stephen Jones, made it very apparent that no players on the team would be allowed to remain in the locker room during the Anthem and must stand up and respect the singing of the National Anthem.
It was a stance that made no sense for a team that had zero players participate in protests, aside from the kneeling they did as a cohesive unit with Jerry last season.
In July, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott told ESPN, “I never protest during the anthem, and I don’t think that’s the time or the venue to do so.”
That’s a stance that Jerry could stand behind and when TMZ Sports approached him about it, he glowingly praised his young QB:
“I’m so proud of him, just proud of him the way he leads the team,” Jones said. “For not letting it mess with their practices.”
