C.J. McCollum Rips Stars Joining The Warriors To Form Superteams: ‘It’s Disgusting’ (VIDEO)
C.J. McCollum has stated many times over the summer about his non-desire to ever join a super team in hopes of making it easier for him to win a ring.
The Portland Trail Blazers guard’s feelings about the situation reached a fevered pitch when he spoke on DeMarcus Cousins then joining an already stacked Golden State Warriors team, calling it a ‘soft’ move to Kevin Durant a few weeks ago.
I still think the b word is harsh and shouldn’t be used. . He know that decision was soft but I respect it. It’s like getting jumped with ur brothers by a gang you should’ve beat then joining the gang that jumped u and ur brothers 2 months later & forgetting about your bros https://t.co/BFGqQy1lwR

McCollum recently appeared on CCTV in China and was again asked about superstars joining forces in free agency, and it called it ‘disgusting’:
CJ McCollum went on @CCTV and said that star players joining the Warriors is 'disgusting' and 'I would never do that' 😂😂

When asked would he ever join a superteam in the future, McCollum said, “I would never do anything of that nature. I think that’s disgusting.”
McCollum was asked if superteams are the future of the league at this point, but he held out hope that many players would stay away from trying to get a cheap ring and fight for it.
“I think some players will take that route, but most guys have too much pride. [They] want to really win on their own or in their certain organizations and aren’t just going to jump the bandwagon.”
As far as his own squad, the Trail Blazers took a major step backwards after finished 3rd in the Western Conference, but got eliminated and swept in the 1st round by the New Orleans Pelicans.
