Andy Dalton Donates To Buffalo Cancer Center After Bills Fans Donated $415K To His Foundation (VIDEO)
Breaking tables, getting drunk, and having a great time was the initial reason everybody loved Buffalo Bills fans, but they showed they are much more than that earlier this year.
Late in the 2017 season, the Bills defeated the Dolphins and just needed the Cincinnati Bengals to do work against the Baltimore Ravens in order for them to make the playoffs for the first time in 17 years.
That’s exactly what Andy Dalton did when he completed a pass on 4th-and-12 to Tyler Boyd who ran it in for a TD.
Bills fans showed their gratitude almost immediately after they began donating to the Andy and Jordan Dalton foundation in $17 dollar increments for the 17 seasons since they made the playoffs.
Now, Dalton and his wife are showing their appreciation after they posted a video saying the foundation will be making a donation to the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo in honor of the support they got from the city.
“JJ and I are very excited to get back to Buffalo and support a community that gave so much to our foundation,” Dalton told Michele Steele of ESPN. “The Pass it On Fund is our grant program and it was able to double in size because of all the donations that we received. So for us, we feel like it’s our responsibility to pass it on and give back to Buffalo.”
To date, the total has exceeded upwards of $415,000 that was donated by Bills fans and others. A spokesperson said they have continued to received at least one donation every week or two since January.
