Vikings’ Danielle Hunter Fires Shots At “Scared” Jimmy Garoppolo After Sunday’s Win; Jimmy G Responds
On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings brought the previously undefeated Jimmy Garoppolo back down to earth, intercepting him three times, sacking him three times and handing him his first career loss as a starting quarterback.
At least one member of the Vikings defense came away extremely unimpressed with the San Francisco 49ers QB.
Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter stated that as the relentless pass rush kept coming, Garoppolo started to look very afraid of getting hit.
“As the game goes on, you have to bring the pressure on him. You see that he’s starting to get scared,” Hunter said.
Garoppolo responded to those comments on Wednesday and he decided to take the high road:
“I’ve never heard that before but it’s the way (Hunter) thinks,” Garoppolo said, via The Mercury News’ Cam Inman. “Pressure is always a good thing in a quarterback’s eyes. It opens windows, and they have less guys in coverage”
The 26-year-old will look to rebound in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions.
