The Houston Texans were 1-3 and the Dallas Cowboys were 2-2 as they both got set to meet up for a Texas showdown at NRG Stadium on Sunday Night. Not quite the sexiest match-up, but both fan bases came out to the tune of 72,008, which was the largest attendance at the stadium in Texans history.

The excitement and eyes on the game didn’t just stop at the stadium as millions tuned in at home to watch. Sunday Night’s game between the rivals generated a 12.4 rating, which was a 17% jump over last year’s week five Sunday night game and provided NBC with its best Week 5 number since 2015.

Having a dynamic young QB in Deshaun Watson, all-pro WR in DeAndre Hopkins, defensive beats in JJ Watt, combined with the ever-popular following of the Dallas Cowboys clearly helped in this case.
