Despite signing with the Carolina Panthers back in September, Eric Reid made it very apparent that it would have no bearing on his collusion case against the National Football League and it would continue on. In fact, his treatment from the league since returning to the field may be strengthening his claim.

Reid was fined $26,739 for his hit on Buccaneers receiver Adam Humphries last week, even though he was never penalized during the actual game. Not to mention, he appeared to hit Humphries in the chest with his arms.

The Panthers safety spoke to reporters this week and said that he would be adding the NFL’s on-field fines to his collusion claim.

Reid joined his former 49ers teammate Colin Kaepernick in a collusion case against the league, claiming he was essentially being punished by league owners because of his stance during the National Anthem.
