Michael Irvin has never been one for keeping quiet on topics that he feel strongly about, and that includes any and everything that goes on with the Dallas Cowboys.
Just recently, the hall of fame wide receiver spoke open and honestly about how he feels about current Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and the franchise is dealing with his contract situation.
He did not mince words.
Irvin says the Cowboys need to pay Dak before the start of the 2019 NFL season and it needs to be more money than what Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz received this month.
Last month, it was reported that Dak rejected the Cowboys’ initial contract offer and sent back a counter-offer to the front office. No real progress has seemed to made since then.
The 25-year-old is in the final year of his rookie deal as he is scheduled to make $2.025 million in base salary this season. Prescott is 32-16 in the regular season during his career, racking up 10,876 passing yards, 67 touchdowns, 25 interceptions and a 96.0 passer rating.
