The New York Mets are a New York mess in 2019.
After losing 5-3 to the Chicago Cubs on Sunday, the team dropped to 37-41 on the year and 4th in the NL East as they continue to sink lower and lower in the standings.
After the game, New York Mets pitcher Jason Vargas got into an altercation with a reporter and had to be held back by teammates from attacking him.
Mike Puma of the New York Post shared that Vargas was going after Tim Healey of Newsday.
Mets manager Mickey Callaway was also said to have cursed out the same reporter before Vargas challenged him to a fight.
Get it together, Mets.
