I know what you’re thinking. How can somebody fat call another person fat? Well, it goes back to the old saying that “it takes one to know one.”
Despite losing Jimmy Butler in free agency to the Miami Heat, the Philadelphia 76ers will head into the 2019-2020 season as easily one of the favorites in the Eastern Conference to fight for a championship.
On Monday, the team secured its future by inking Ben Simmons to a five-year max contract extension.
On Tuesday, ESPN’s Get Up! had Charles Barkley on to discuss the 76ers and while he praised Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, he had some harsh advice to give them both.
“Joel Embiid has got to get his fat butt in shape and Ben Simmons got to work on his game,” Barkley said bluntly.
He has a point, Simmons just refuses at times to shoot pass 15-feet, and when he does, it is more than likely to be a brick. Joel Embiid has serious conditioning issues that were on display during last year’s playoffs.
The NBA on TNT analyst says Moses Malone was the voice to let him know back in 1985 on how fat and lazy he was, and he called on somebody within the organization to do the same thing to Joel Embiid.
