Enes Kanter Becomes A Celtics Fan Favorite After Taking Not-So-Subtle Shot At Kyrie Irving (VIDEO)

Enes Kanter certainly knows how to make fans quickly.

On Wednesday, the center was officially introduced as part of the Boston Celtics and he made friends almost immediately.

Just moments into the press conference, Kanter — who will wear No. 11 with the C’s — took a shot at former Celtics guard Kyrie Irving.

“I want to be the reason no one else will wear it,” Kanter told the assembled media. “Sorry, I had to.”

Just to refresh your memory, Kyrie uttered the same words in a Nike commercial from last November that came a month after he pledged to remain in Boston for the long term.

Kyrie wasted no time getting out of town this off-season after signing a deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
