Over the past 13 months, Kevin Garnett has had a bunch of personal issues going on in his life that included his sister being arrested for allegedly robbing 3 check-cashing stores, filing a lawsuit against his former accountant who he accused of taking $77 million from him, and in the midst of it all, he was going through a nasty divorce with his estranged wife.
His estranged wife was requesting $146,000 in monthly spousal support in addition to $46,000 in monthly child support, which would equate to over $2.3 million a year.
The former Timberwolves and Celtics superstar won’t have to pay the $192K that his wife wanted, but he will be paying six figures every month.
Via The Blast:
“According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the former NBA star was ordered to pay Brandi Garnett $100,000 a month to cover both child and spousal support.
The order is only in effect until they hammer out a permanent deal.”

Ouch. Let’s just hope Garnett can get those payments lowered.
