USWNT Star Alex Morgan Took A Massive Shot At Cristiano Ronaldo Escaping Sexual Assault Allegation (TWEET)

On Monday, the news came down that Cristiano Ronaldo would not be charged in an alleged sexual assault that happened back in 2009. Prosecutors announced the star forward for the Italian club Juventus would not be facing criminal charges after a woman alleged he raped her in a Las Vegas hotel.

The 34-year-old had been accused of meeting a woman in a nightclub in Las Vegas, inviting her to a hotel room where the alleged rape took place. Ronaldo has vehemently denied the allegations.

The district attorney’s office stated “the allegations of sexual assault against Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Later on that same day, United States women’s national team star Alex Morgan would take to Twitter and take a massive shot at Ronaldo by posting a link to a story about him that was titled, “Ronaldo is an icon of corruption of sports.”

“Now this is great journalism,” Morgan tweeted.

Fans were not pleased and fired back at her in the comments:
