Some things never change.
Matt Barnes used to give referees the business while an active player in the NBA, and he took those talents of mouthing off all the way down to youth basketball.
In a post to his Instagram Story on Sunday, the ex-NBA swingman revealed that he was ejected from his twin sons’ youth basketball game over the weekend after getting hit with two technical fouls.
He was forced to coach the remainder of the game from the hallway.
“Some s— will never change,” Barnes wrote in the post. “At least Ts don’t cost me 2500 no more … Daddy got a double tech and ejected so he’s gotta coach from the hallway.”
The 2016-2017 season was the last time Barnes played in the league as a member of the Golden State Warriors, winning his first NBA championship in the process.
