Footage Released of Cops Mistaking Bird Poo For Cocaine & Arresting Georgia Southern QB (VIDEO)
Earlier this month, Shai Werts saw his name dragged through the mud after he was said to be arrested and then subsequently suspended by his team.
The Georgia Southern quarterback was aksed about a substance on his car and he stated it was just bird poop.
“What’s the white stuff on the front of your hood, man?”
Werts immediately responds, “Bird sh*t.”
Arresting officers were said to have tested it and the results concluded that it was actually cocaine. Werts has been charged with a misdemeanor for cocaine possession.
“I swear to God it’s not [bird poo],” the officer says, “because I just tested it, and that turned pink.”
As it turns out, Werts is going to be dealt a huge apology after it was determined that the police officers were 100% wrong.
“Prosecutors have just released a statement to TMZ Sports, saying, “On August 8, 2019, SLED [South Carolina Law Enforcement Division] received the substance and completed the drug analysis. The forensic scientist determined that no controlled substance was detected.”
“The Solicitor’s Office has begun the expungement process to have this charge removed from the system to ensure that this arrest and charge does not create a criminal history for Werts.”
Georgia Southern athletic director Tom Kleinlein was “elated to get the news” and said the QB is no longer subject to punishment over the incident.
Werts started 10 games for the Eagles in 2018, going from 2-10 in 2017 to 10-3 and Camellia Bowl champions in 2018.
He was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team.
