It Looks Like 78 Fans Showed Up To Watch The Pittsburgh Pirates Play Baseball (VIDEO)

The city of Pittsburgh is definitely a football town. Even if the team is bad, the fans will still show up and support.

The same certainly can’t be said for the local baseball team.

On Wednesday, the 60-78 Pirates took the field to play the 49-88 Miami Marlins at PNC Park, and by the looks of the stands, the fans decided to sit this one out.

This was taken just minutes before first pitch.

Just take a look at some of these fan photos:

As beautiful as the the stadium is, attendance is down considerably since 2015.

Back in April, the Pirates hosted the least-attended game at PNC Park in nearly a decade.

The Pirates have the fifth-worst attendance in MLB this season. They’re averaging 19,158 fans.
