Steph Curry Appears To Take A Shot At Kevin Durant Over His Comments
For the first time in a long time, the Golden State Warriors will enter the 2019-2020 season as a team that is not the favorite to win the NBA title for the first time in five years.
With the departure of Kevin Durant and the injury to Klay Thompson and where he is slated to return, the team might find it out to place in the top 4 or 5 in the Western Conference.
Star point guard Steph Curry is still deadly and one of the favorites to win MVP for the upcoming season. The Warriors point guard sat down with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols to break down the upcoming season and also responded to comments made by Kevin Durant who stated the Warriors offense only worked to a “certain point.”
Curry appeared to take a shot at him.
“We all wanna play iso-ball at the end of the day in some way, shape or form. But I’d rather have some championships, too,” Curry said to Nichols.
Could this be pointing to a deteriorating relationship between the two? Especially after Curry hopped on a plane to convince Durant to stay, only to find out he had made his decision before his plane ever hit the ground.
As far as Durant is concerned, he is more than likely out for the upcoming season after his devastating injury in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.
