It’s always a great thing to have good and genuine people in your corner when you are at your lowest. That’s usually when you find out who your real friends are.
Michael Vick found out that rapper T.I. was one of those friends during his lowest of lows.
During ESPN’s 30 for 30 on Michael Vick, we learned that after Vick spent 19 months in prison after his dogfighting conviction, he and his wife checked their bank accounts and realized they had -$1,000 to their name.
T.I. would soon call and ask how he was doing, which led to T.I. asking him if he needed anything. Vick responded by saying he needed $50K to get back on his feet.
T.I. did him one better and gave him $75K instead.
Now, that’s a real friend.
