Chauncey Gardner Johnson was looked at as a 4th-round steal back in 2019, but these days, he’s being accused of stealing from somebody else.
The former Florida Gators safety signed a 4 year, $3,304,100 contract with the New Orleans Saints, including a $784,100 signing bonus, $784,100 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $826,025.
Apparently, he decided to get himself a 5-finger discount when Suny the jeweler took to Instagram and blasted him for alleging stealing a $25,000 watch and blocking him in the process.
Flip the pages on the below post and you’ll see that Suny threatened to release secret info told to him by his own baby mother.
Chauncey Gardner Johnson’s mother and baby mother have allegedly responded:
What a mess.
As far as his play on the field, Johnson evolved into a defensive backfield leader with (9) passes defended and (1) interception. Gardner-Johnson was the only NFL player with more forced incompletions (9) than 1st downs or TDs allowed (8) in the slot position, according to PFF.
