Al Horford signing with the Philadelphia 76ers may have seemed like a huge signing at the time, but it was clear that he did not mesh well in the system and it showed all year and especially during the playoffs.
The Philadelphia 76ers barely put up a fight against the Boston Celtics, and team chemistry appeared to be an issue for them in the series.
Al Horford’s sister took to Twitter on Sunday and tweeted that her brother plays “so much better” with Joel Embiid on the bench.
The big man scored 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Anna also retweeted a bunch of posts that said the 76ers’ offense is much more efficient when it runs through Al.
In the end, it did not matter as the team got swept out of the playoffs, and so ends their time in the NBA bubble.
Horford just finished the first season of a four-year, $109 million contract with the Sixers.
