Count Dak Prescott in as the many folks who were and still upset over a grand jury in Louisville finding police officers Myles Cosgrove and Jonathan Mattingly justified in their use of force that led to Taylor’s death in March. Officer Brett Hankison was charged with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, a crime that was not related to Taylor’s death.
Dak Prescott called the decision to not prosecute any of the officers for the killing of Breonna Taylor “disgusting” in a meeting with reporters Thursday.
“That’s disgusting. I don’t understand that one at all. … That’s simply unacceptable, and I don’t understand an officer not being charged in that case,” Prescott said.
The Dallas Cowboys emphasized how dire it is to keep up-to-date on issues and be prepared to vote.
“That’s one of the biggest things that I’d say we’ve taken a step as a team, is just trying to talk about that — the importance to vote, the importance for our voices to be heard throughout our community and to be leaders there.”
“But, that’s simply unacceptable and I don’t understand an officer not behind charged in that case.
The ruling has kicked off another round of protests around the country that has already seen multiple cops shot as a result.
