There is no love lost between New York Giants receiver Golden Tate and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey and it played out during their matchup as well as after the game.
During the fourth quarter, Ramsey delivered a forceful tackle on Tate that drove him into the turf. And after the game ended, the two came to blows at midfield with each taking swings at one another and teammates desperately tried to pull them apart.
Ramsey took to Twitter and Instagram with a subtle message on Monday morning.
The backstory is that Ramsey fathered two children with Tate’s sister and the couple had a very public breakup. Ramsey reportedly ended their relationship during Breanna Tate’s pregnancy to begin seeing a Las Vegas stripper last summer.
Ramsey’s social media photo with his new girlfriend in October 2019 brought the spat to social media. A fan replied, suggesting the Giants star should ‘have words’ with Ramsey and Tate said, ‘He know he gonna have to see me.’”
“Tate later told The Post, ‘I’m not happy at all with the disrespect that he’s shown towards my sister, and the things he’s done in the past, but I don’t really want to go too much into it.’
“The last word at the time went to Ramsey, who Tweeted, ‘We live in a society where ignorant people feel that they are owed an explanation of what goes on in our day-to-day lives … and why we make the decisions we make … we don’t have to answer to anyone but the man above. S—t is beyond overrated.’”
The Rams moved to 3-1 with the win over the Giants.
