The Tennessee Titans are undefeated as they sit at the top of the AFC South, yet they have zero to celebrate as more and more players continue to test positive for the coronavirus.
The Tennessee Titans were informed on Sept. 29 that in-person gatherings had been banned because of the organization’s ongoing coronavirus outbreak, which meant the players’ informal workouts the following day were unauthorized and a violation of the NFL’s virus-related protocols.
The NFL and union are investigating multiple unauthorized workouts involving Tennessee Titans players, sources told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
There’s chatter the Tennessee Titans could be facing major punishment from the league, per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Schefter said during ESPN’s “Get Up!” on Thursday there’s a belief the Titans “will be disciplined, fined and even potentially lose draft picks.”
The NFL declined to comment to Paul Kuharsky when asked if players could be fined or suspended for their actions:
The league cancelled Tennessee’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and their game against the Buffalo Bills is trending towards the same result.
